Thermal protection
When the optional FR-ABR high-duty brake resistor is installed, is it necessary to provide thermal protection?
I think this is necessary to prevent fire that may occur when the transistor inside the inverter explodes and the resistor temperature goes abnormally high. Am I correct?

Answer
Providing thermal protection is better for your safety.
When the brake transistor explodes, the brake transistor alarm (E.BE) is output. Consider a countermeasure using this signal to shut off the inverter power supply.
