The FREQROL-A200 has magnetic flux vector control in addition to the conventional V/F control.
Magnetic flux vector control controls the motor with higher accuracy and higher torque than V/F control.
To implement this control, high-accuracy calculation is performed using the motor constant.
Therefore, to perform magnetic flux vector control operation, the inverter must recognize the motor constant. (For the Mitsubishi standard motors, the inverter already memorizes their motor constants.)
The auto tuning function is used to recognize this motor constant, and by outputting voltage from the inverter with the motor connected, this function automatically calculates and memorizes the motor constant from the current flowing through the motor.

When operating a motor other than the Mitsubishi standard motors under magnetic flux vector control, you need to perform auto tuning.
Auto tuning can be performed in two different modes, by rotating and by not rotating the motor.
You can choose the tuning method according to the load and machine conditions.
