External thermal overheat

I use a 0.2 KW motor with the inverter FR-E520-0.4K, and attach an external thermal for motor protection.
The external thermal trips during regular operation (not under overload).
It is considered that the thermal overheats due to deformation of the waveform and results in an erroneous trip. Is there any method to suppress thermal overheat by configuring the inverter?

Answer

Take the following countermeasure:

1. If the thermal trips in low-speed operation, trips can be avoided, depending on the external thermal relay operation characteristics, by lowering the manual torque boost to reduce the current.

2. If the thermal trips due to large leakage current, lower the carrier frequency.
