Report on the MECA 2025 student competition in Vietnam

Introduction
July 2025 saw Vietnam’s Ho Chi Minh City hosting the final round of the 2025 edition of the MECA 2025 competition where students compete for the Mitsubishi Electric Cup for automation. Now in its fifth year in Vietnam, MECA gives student engineers the chance to pit their technology and ideas against each other. More than 20 teams from universities around the country came together at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) to compete with projects designed using Mitsubishi Electric’s factory automation (FA) products.
