It is described that STF must be turned ON after the X114 signal is turned ON to enable the tension control. What control should I use when the X114 signal is turned ON after STF is turned ON? (Is it the speed control?)
Category :

Answer

The X114 signal is for switching the control to the dancer control or tension sensorless torque control. The signal input becomes invalid during operation because it is dangerous if the control switches during operation. (It operates in the signal state set during stop.) When starting with the X114 signal OFF, the normal speed control or torque control is performed according to Pr.800. Even if X114 is turned ON during operation, the control does not change. The same thing happens for the reverse operation. If the dancer control is set (Pr.128 = 40 or 41), the PID control is not performed when X114 is OFF. The speed control is performed. The speed control is performed.
