Can I connect the operation panel to the RS-485 terminal?

No, it cannot be connected to the RS-485 terminal. The 485 terminal supports the Mitsubishi protocol and Modbus-RTU, but it does not support the PU protocol. (The operation panel and parameter unit communicate through PU protocol, which is different from the Mitsubishi protocol.)
