Operation of the motor with a brake

When using the motor with a brake, I want to operate the brake when the motor stopped completely. Can I detect the motor stop and send the signal to the brake from the inverter?
If it cannot be performed from the inverter, how is the brake operation timing is determined?

Answer

For the general-purpose inverter, the motor stop cannot be detected accurately because the actual motor speed from a motor is not input.
In general, the RUN signal (turned OFF when the inverter is stopped) can be used to send a brake signal.
The SU signal is not suitable for the motor stop judgment because it turns OFF when the output frequency is not reached the frequency command.
To detect the motor stop accurately, when using the FR-A500, install the encoder to the motor and use the encoder control option (FR-A5AP) together.
