Driving 200 V motor by 400 V inverter
Our machinery used in Japan is now transferred to a foreign country. Since the local voltage is 400 V, our client requested us to adapt the inverter to the 400 V specifications and the base voltage to 200 V.

Your suggested use is not recommended due to the following reasons:
Output voltage of the 400 V inverter contains "micro surge".
Usually this surge voltage is as high as approximately 1000 V and remains the same even when the base voltage setting is changed to 200 V. If a 200 V motor is connected to the 400 V inverter, it still rotates, but motor burnout can occur because 200 V motors are generally not insulation-enhanced.
