Fault display

There was a power failure due to a thunderbolt during nighttime and the fault code E.OV3 was displayed on the inverter monitor.
(The machine was stopped, but the inverter power supply was turned ON.)
What should I do for the countermeasure?
Category :

Answer

"E.OV3" is displayed when the voltage between the inverter terminals PN rises abnormally high while the inverter is decelerating or stopped.
In this case, the lightning surge applied high voltage to the inverter and the voltage between the inverter terminals PN rose abnormally high.
If the error indication disappears by resetting the inverter, you can continue using it. No problem.
It is better to turn off the power when considering only the nighttime from now on.
You can also insert a surge killer or AC reactor in the inverter, however, since the proper purpose of the AC reactor is different, it is not guaranteed if the inverter can be protected from the thunderbolt.
