When the plug-in option "12-bit digital input" card is attached to the A500 or A200 series inverter, can I switch between PU operation and external operation using the external contact signals?
Also, is the PU operation interlock function (Pr.79) of the A500 effective in this case?

Answer
You can switch between PU operation and external operation using the plug-in option "12-bit digital input" card and external contact signals.
After setting Pr.79 to "8", turning the X16 signal ON enables the external operation mode and turning it OFF enables the PU operation mode.
Note that you can switch the operation modes only while the inverter is stopped.
Also, setting Pr.79 to "7" enables the PU operation interlock function.
However, you cannot use this function together with the operation modes mentioned above.
After setting Pr.79 to "8", turning the X16 signal ON enables the external operation mode and turning it OFF enables the PU operation mode.
Note that you can switch the operation modes only while the inverter is stopped.
