Installation of external thermal

I use a inverter and motor at 1:1 correspondence.
I have been customarily using an external thermal for these 10 years, but is it unnecessary?
Category :

Answer

Since the inverter has a built-in motor overheat protective function called "electronic thermal O/L relay", the external thermal is not required.
(If you use a single inverter to drive multiple motors, you need protection including the external thermal.)
