Usage

Can I change the frequency rapidly to 0 Hz when the operation signal is turned OFF during operation?
Is it OK to frequently turn ON and OFF the magnet on the input side of the inverter?
Category :

Answer

1. Changing frequency to 0 Hz
(1) Set Pr.8 (Deceleration time) to 0 second.
If the load is large, the stall prevention function may work to lengthen deceleration time. Or, if the inertia is large, OV3 may cause a trip,
(2) Short-circuit the terminals MRS and SD at the same time as the operation signal is turned OFF.
In this case, the motor coasts to stop.
2. Avoid turning ON and OFF frequently the magnet on the input side of the inverter because doing so may cause a failure.
