Driving two motors with different capacities

When an electromagnetic contactor is attached to the output side of the inverter to switch motors, is it possible to attach an external thermal to each motor and switch and drive the motors?
It is OK if the motor capacities differ greatly from each other and one motor capacity is smaller than the inverter capacity?
Category :

Answer

It is OK to drive motors by switching the electromagnetic contactor on the inverter's output side.
It is also OK if the motor capacity is small. However, if the motor capacity is smaller than the inverter capacity for one rank or more, Advanced magnetic flux vector control is not available.
Note that the external thermal of a small-capacity motor can malfunction due to line-to-line leakage current. If it does, set the thermal value a little bit higher.
