Instantaneous power failure of facilities

I am considering a countermeasure against the instantaneous power failure of the facilities.
1. I am planning to use a 400 V inverter with the CC-Link option. (I am considering to use the FR-E540 and the CC-Link option.) Does the inverter with the CC-Link option restart automatically when the power restores after power failure during communication?

2. Assume that 400 V inverter with the CC-Link option is used, and the controller is protected against power failure and only the inverter power goes down.
When the inverter power restores, how does the inverter operate?
If the forward rotation command was given, does the inverter start forward rotation automatically after the power restration?
3. Can the 400 V inverter with the CC-Link option detect instantaneous power failure?
How long instantaneous power failure can the inverter stand for?

Answer

1. If the start signal is present when the power and communication restore, the inverter starts operation.

2. Similarly to the above, if the start signal is provided by the controller, the inverter starts operation after communication restores.

3. The FR-E540 cannot detect instantaneous power failure.
Under 100% load, the maximum time of instantaneous power failure allowed for the inverter to continue operation is approximately 15 ms.
Use the FR-A540 if detection of instantaneous power failure is necessary.
