Local devices

What kind of devices are local devices? Where is the storage location of device data and how do I set the number of device points?
Category :

Answer

Local devices are devices which can be independently used for each program.
When multiple independent programs are executed, using local devices allows programming without considering the possibility of devices used by more than one program.

Devices which can be used as local devices are as follows.
- Internal relay (M)
- Edge relay (V)
- Timer (T, TS)
- Counter (C)
- Data register (D)
- Index register (Z)

Set the range of local devices in the Device Setting of PLC Parameter, and specify the standard RAM or an SRAM card as file storage destination in the PLC File setting of PLC Parameter.
