Difference between redundant systems and the multiple CPU systems

What are the differences between a Q series redundant system and a multiple CPU system?
Category :

Answer

- Redundant systems
A redundant system offers improved system reliability, as it consists of two basic systems, each of which includes a CPU module,
power supply module, network module and others, so that even if a module error occurs in one basic system,
the other one continues the system control.

- Multiple CPU systems
A whole single system is established not with a single QCPU module but with a QCPU module, motion CPU module,
C Controller module, and other modules tailoring the system to its requirements, thus the development efficiency
and serviceability of the system are increased.
Also, the overall system scan time can be reduced by distributing the high-load processing performed in a single QCPU module
  over multiple CPU modules.
