What is input derating?

Input derating is the percentage of simultaneous ON points, one of the specifications applied when input modules are used.
When QX42 is used in a temperature of 55 degrees Celsius and 28.8 VDC is applied, for example, the percentage of simultaneous ON points must be 40% or lower. For Q41X, the percentage must be 75% (24 out of 32 points) under the same condition.
