Regarding connection through a MODBUS/TCP Gateway
Can FX5U CPU communicate with MODBUS RTU/ASCII compatible devices which is connected to a MODBUS/TCP gateway device?
Answer
Communication is possible with simple CPU communication function of FX5 CPU, FX5-ENET, FX5-ENET/IP modules.
※FX5U and FX5UC CPU modules with firmware version 1.270 or later, FX5UJ CPU module firmware version 1.040 or later, FX5S CPU module firmware version 1.010 or later supports specifying the station number of MODBUS RTU/ASCII compatible devices connected to MODBUS/TCP gateway devices.
