Is it possible to use a circuit breaker for AC in DC circuit? And what will happen to circuit breaker if using that ?

Answer

It is not possible to use a circuit breaker for AC in DC circuit. Since the Arc-Extinguishing
Device structure of circuit breaker for DC is different from that for AC, it may not break short circuit current. Moreover, since tripping device specifications for some circuit breakers are different, it may not operate against overcurrent.
