When a message indicating that "the memory space is insufficient" appears during online change

I cannot perform online change because a message indicating that "the memory space is insufficient" has appeared during online change from PX Developer.

How can I solve this problem?

Answer

This problem occurs because the consecutive free memory space for temporarily storing the program during online change is insufficient. In this case, perform the following.

(1) Organize the data in the program memory/standard RAM to make a consecutive free space in it.

Perform "Clear PLC memory" of "Online" from the menu of GX Developer.

(2) When the memory space is still insufficient, install an SRAM card or an ATA card.
