Brake unit selection

I want to attach the brake unit (BU) to the 400 V 0.75 kW inverter, but the catalog says this combination is not allowed.
How can I improve the regenerative braking capability?
Can I install the discharging resistor alone?
It seems that a high-duty brake resistor can be used. Can I get the 100% braking torque?

Answer

Since the FR-A540-0.75K has a brake transistor for resistor regenerative driving inside the inverter, you do not need to use BU. Just remove the jumper from the inverter's terminals PX and PR and insert the high-duty brake resistor (FR-ABR-H0.75K) in between the terminals P and PR to allow for resistor regeneration.
By using the high-duty brake resistor FR-ABR-H0.75K, you can generate the 100% braking torque at the duty of 10% ED.
