The serial communication modules do not require GX Configurator-SC.
However, we recommend GX Configurator-SC as it reduces man-hours.

(1) The predefined protocol support function makes it easy to set the protocol necessary to communicate with a target device
     such as a temperature control module and a barcode reader.
(2) The debug support function can be used to:
     - trace the status of send/receive packets and signal lines using the circuit trace function.
     - monitor the error state of the module and signal lines using the state monitor function.
