From the GX Works3 settings when the optional battery is installed, it must be set to Installed in the Optional Battery Settings.
Use the following procedure to display the Optional Battery Settings.

From the GX Works3 navigation pane, click Parameters > Module Name > CPU Parameters > Memory/Device Settings > Device/Label Memory Area Settings > Device/Label Memory Area Capacity Setting > Device/Label Memory Area Setting > Detailed settings.
