How do I switch between the settings for writing to a device and writing to an object (numerical input or text input) from a USB barcode reader?
The following shows how to switch between the settings for writing to a device and writing to an object (numerical input or text input) from a USB barcode reader.
Configure the settings in the screen design software.
◆ For GT Designer3 (GOT2000) Version 1
1. Select [Common] → [Peripheral Setting] → [Bar Code] to open the [Bar Code] setting dialog.
2. Select the [USB] tab, and select [Use USB Bar Code].
3. Configure each setting.
In Figure 1, GD400 is set for [Control Device].

◆ While running the GOT
Switch the Switch USB Barcode Input signal (b0 of the device set for [Control Device]).
• Turn off the Switch USB Barcode Input signal when writing data from a USB barcode reader to a device.
(In the example of Figure 1 above, turn off GD400.b0.)
• Turn on the Switch USB Barcode Input signal when writing data from a USB barcode reader to an object (numerical input or text input).
(In the example of Figure 1 above, turn on GD400.b0.)
Table 2 [Control Device]

While data is being read with a USB barcode reader, do not switch the Switch USB Barcode Input signal.
If you switch the Switch USB Barcode Input signal while data is being read by the USB barcode reader, unintended behavior may result.
