Inverse time delay operating characteristic
What is Inverse time delay operating characteristic ?
Answer
It is a characteristic that operating time inversely become shorter as current increases.
For Molded Case Circuit Breakers, protection characteristic meeting with overcurrent withstand capacity of cable to be protected is needed. Combination of overcurrent tripping characteristic (which has inverse time limit tripping characteristic) and short-limit or instantaneous tripping characteristic can achieve wiring protection.
