What are the network number (Net No.) and the station number to be set in the controller settings?
The following shows the network number (Net No.) and the station number to be set in the controller settings.
• The network number (Net No.) is assigned to identify each network when multiple networks are configured.
The network number cannot be duplicated across networks.
This is different from the term "network number" used in network terminology.
• A station number is assigned to identify each network module connected to the network.
Station numbers cannot be duplicated across network modules on a single network.
(Example) For system configurations using Mitsubishi Electric equipment

◆ For GX Works3
Figure 2: Network No. (Net No.) and station number settings

* Settings for the network number (Net No.) and the station number are not required for (b).
◆ For GT Designer3 (GOT2000) Version 1
1. Set the network number (Net No.), station number, and controller of the GOT
Figure 3

* There are no settings for the network No. and station No. on the built-in Ethernet port CPU side (port No.: 5006 and 5007) or FXC5CPU/FXCPU side when connecting the GOT to the built-in Ethernet port CPU or FXC5CPU/FXCPU. Nevertheless, set the values configured in the Ethernet settings.
2. Set the routing information
Since the GOT (a) on network No.1 accesses the PLC (e) on network No.2 via the PLC (d), set the routing information.
Figure 4

3. Set the IP address of the GOT
Since the GOT (a) of "192.168.3. xxx" accesses the PLC (d) of "192.168.4. xxx" via the gateway (f), set the default gateway to (192.168.3.254).
