Inverter selection when driving multiple motors
I am considering to drive two 0.4 kW motors with a single inverter. What capacity of the inverter should I choose?
- Category :
Answer
When driving multiple motors with a single inverter, determine the inverter capacity in one of the following two methods:
1. When driving multiple motors connected in parallel with a single inverter
Inverter's rated output current ? Total of motor's rated current × 1.1
2. When driving multiple motors sequentially
Inverter's rated output current ? Total of motor's rated current × 1.1 + Start current of motor which starts last
