When a negative value is displayed on the numerical display instead of a positive value

Answer

If a negative value is displayed instead of 40000 when monitoring the device value on the numerical display, check the numerical display settings in the screen design software.

(Example) If the device value in the Mitsubishi Electric PLC data register (D0) should be 40000 but a negative value is displayed, monitor the device value with an unsigned word.
 ◆ For GT Designer3 (GOT2000) Version 1
  Configure the following settings:
  Figure 1

The data range differs depending on the setting for the PLC data type.
 Check the data range.
Then check the settings for data type and display type.
Use the combination of data type and display type in Figure 2.
  Figure 2

For (C) and (D) in Figure 2, the two devices are used to display the values.
 • For D0=1234(H) and D1=5678(H), when D0 is monitored with a numerical display, it shows 56781234(H) (1450709556 in decimal).
