How do I convert binary format logging files to CSV format?

Category :

Answer

The following methods can be used to convert binary format logging files (*.G3L, *.G2L, or *.G1L) to CSV format.

1. Conversion using the GOT utility function
Example: For the GOT3000 series
Select [Main menu] → [Data mng.] → [Logging information].

2. Conversion using the logging file conversion function of the screen design software
Example: For GT Designer3 (GOT3000) Version 1
Select [Tools] → [Resource Data Conversion] → [Logging File].

3. Automatic conversion when the logging file is created by configuring the additional file output setting in the logging settings of the screen design software
Example: For GT Designer3 (GOT3000) Version 1
Select [Output additional file] in the logging settings dialog then click [Destination].

4. Conversion using the Data Transfer Tool
There are multiple conversion methods using the Data Transfer Tool.
• Select [Menu] → [Resource Data Conversion].
• Convert resource data from the command line.
• Convert resource data using the interface functions.

For details, refer to the manuals of the screen creation software and the Data Transfer Tool.
