Regarding how to update the firmware of the FX5 CPU module
I want to perform a firmware update for the FX5 CPU module, but GX Works3 >Tools >Update Firmware is grayed out. Can I use GX Works3 to update firmware?
Answer
FX5U/FX5UC/FX5UJ CPU modules cannot perform firmware update using GX Works3. Use the SD memory card to update the firmware.
However, the FX5S CPU module supports firmware updates using both SD memory card and GX Works3.
However, the FX5S CPU module supports firmware updates using both SD memory card and GX Works3.
