EN standard is a unified standard concerning safety in Europe, takes precedence over the regulations and standards of each European countries. The manufacturer decides that their products satisfy EN standard, and as proof of it, pastes CE mark on their products.

In addition, when exporting 0.75kW or more motor to Europe, a continuous rating motor and a motor with S3 80% ED or higher require a high efficiency motor with IE2 or higher.
