Can I use a TH-T* and TH-N* type thermal load relay for DC motorprotection?
Answer
A thermal load relay is intended for burnout protection of three-phasesquirrel cage motor. When direct current is applied to the thermal loadrelay, the operating characteristic is the same, however, the thermalcharacteristics of the direct current motor may be different. It can beapplied if protective coordination is achived. However, more than TH-N220* type using CT can not be applied.
