Regarding differences between 8 bit and 16 bit modes for non-protocol communication
Please tell me how to use 8 bit mode and 16 bit mode when using non-protocol communication.
Answer
In 8-bit mode, the upper 8 bits of transmitted and received data are ignored and only the lower 8 bits are valid data.
In 16 bit mode, send/receive data is divided into lower and upper 8 bits.
In 16 bit mode, send/receive data is divided into lower and upper 8 bits.
If the external device you want to communicate with sends and receives data in 8-bit units, you can also set the PLC to 8-bit mode so that there is no need to divide the received data after sending and receiving.
