Installing contactor on input side

When installing a contactor on the input side, is it OK to connect the auxiliary contact to the terminal STF of the inverter?
Category :

Answer

It is not recommended to install a contactor on the input side and connect the auxiliary contact to the terminal STF of the inverter for the following reasons:

- You must turn OFF the STF signal to stop the inverter. At this time, the contactor and inverter power supply are also turned OFF. The motor coasts to stop and deceleration stop cannot be implemented by the inverter.

- Rush current flows into the converter of the inverter each time it is powered ON. Repeating this operation shortens the life of the converter.
