Changing the time of a programmable controller by using the clock data write instruction (TWR)
To change the time in a programmable controller by using the clock data write instruction (TWR), is the control of M8015 (Clock stop/adjustment) required?
Answer
When changing the time by using the clock data write instruction (TWR), the control of M8015 (Clock stop/adjustment) is not required.
* When the clock data write instruction (TWR) is not used, use the special auxiliary relay M8015 (Clock stop/adjustment).
M8015 is used to change the data in the special register (D8013 to D8019) directly in a program or a peripheral such as an GOT.
(When M8015 turns on, the clock function stops and the built-in real-time clock in the programmable controller becomes writable. After changing the time, the clock function operates by turning off M8015.)
