Influence on inverter at motor coasts to stop

Assume that two motors drive a single machine.
One motor is driven by the inverter and the other is directly driven by the commercial power supply.
Although both motors do not operate simultaneously, since they are mechanically connected, the motor that is not driven also rotates.
In this case, does the motor connected to the inverter affect the inverter by acting as a power generator?
Category :

Answer

An induction motor does not act as a power generator unless voltage is applied to it.
Therefore, just rotating due to coasting does not affect the inverter.
