Can I drive multiple motors with a single inverter?

Can I drive two 0.4 kW motors and one 0.1 kW motor with a single inverter?
Category :

Answer

You can drive multiple motors with a single inverter.
However, since the inverter cannot determine the current of each motor, the electronic thermal O/L relay cannot be used.
Therefore, you need to attach an external thermal for each motor for protection.
