Second deceleration time setting

Can I use the deceleration time set with Parameter 8 (Deceleration time) in normal situations and use the deceleration time set with Parameter 45 (Second deceleration time) in case of emergency?
(I know that the inverter usually is stopped in case of emergency by the brake triggered by the inverter output stop contact input.)

Answer

Your suggestion is fine, but note that deceleration stop is naturally not available in case of an inverter error.
In addition, considering regenerative power, a brake unit may be necessary to shorten time required to stop the inverter by the second deceleration.

Of course, stopping the inverter by the brake triggered by the inverter output stop contact input is also effective.
Both ways have actual results.
Choose the control method most suitable for your system specifications.
