Does the FX5S CPU unit have any functions that require an SD memory card module: FX5-SDCD?

SD Memory Card Module: FX5-SDCD is required for the following functions.

※1 The firmware of FX5S CPU module can be updated using engineering tool. By updating the firmware from the engineering tool, it is possible to update the firmware without using the SD memory card module or SD memory card.
