Regarding setting the FX5 CPU Module that does not support the simple CPU communication function
What is the setting when connecting an FX5 CPU Module that supports the simple CPU communication function to an FX5 CPU Module that does not?
Answer
When connecting 2 FX5 CPU Modules (firmware version 1.110 or later) that support the Simple CPU communication function and 2 FX5 CPU Modules (firmware version less than 1.110) that do not support the simple CPU communication function, the settings are as follows.
●FX5 CPU Module (firmware version 1.110 or later)
・Set from [Ethernet port] - [Application settings] - [Simple CPU communication settings] in GX Works3, set the device type of the communication destination (IP address) to "SLMP- compatible device (QnA-compatible 3E frame)" in GX Works3.
・Set the simple CPU communication function.
・Set from [Ethernet port] - [Application settings] - [Simple CPU communication settings] in GX Works3, set the device type of the communication destination (IP address) to "SLMP- compatible device (QnA-compatible 3E frame)" in GX Works3.
・Set the simple CPU communication function.
●FX5 CPU Module (firmware version below 1.110)
Configure the SLMP connection device from GX Works3's [Ethernet port] - [Basic settings] - [External device configuration].
