Current measurement method

I understand that when measuring the input and output current using a commercial frequency meter, I need to measure each phase separately, as explained in the technical material. When measuring current via CT, can I display measured current via a switch?

To reduce an error, how large VA ability of CT is recommended?
Category :

Answer

When measuring current, if you open the output side while current is flowing on the input side, high voltage is induced and dielectric breakdown may occur with the coil. Therefore, avoid a configuration where switching may cause the output side to open.
Also, since the output current of the inverter contains a harmonic component that causes the CT to generate a large quantity of heat, use CT of 15 VA or larger.
