When controlling motor with brake by inverter
I heard that controlling a motor with an electromagnetic and mechanical brake by an inverter may damage the inverter.
Can I prevent this problem by making the mechanical brake work after the inverter has stopped the motor completely?

Answer
Use the RUN signal to turn ON and OFF the brake.
Using the MRS (output shutoff) signal to turn ON the brake shuts off the inverter's output and reduces influence on the inverter.
